I want to try really hard to make this blog interesting. I still don't know what I'll be writing; will I share misc funny stories, deep philosophical thoughts, post pictures, bring you along in my baking adventures, or blackmail people with their embarrassingly hilarious quotes? See, writing here is also hard because people *rarely* leave comments on blogspot, whereas with xanga they will drop an eprop or two every once in a while, and I can check who reads it w/ my footprints/privacy settings... so really, I'll just have to post here with absolutely no idea who is reading my blog. Scary, huh?
Well, for now, let's start off with something neutral. I posted something similar on xanga a few years ago, so I'll try not to repeat myself:
1. My first best friend's name was Nancy Chen. We were probably best friends because we shared the same name.
2. I've never liked anyone else whose name was also Nancy (besides Nancy Chen). Even to this day, I'll never be *as* nice to someone whose name is also Nancy.. horrible, I know.
3. Sometimes things that people say in passing will stick with me for a LONG time. For example, my friend from Harvard Summer School was telling us that he hates it when people say "I'm going go let you go" while on the phone because it's not as if that person has the "power" or the "upper hand" to "let that other person go." (does that make sense?) So every single time I hear people say that, even now, 4 years later, I think of my friend...
4. I have taken ice skating, gymnastics, bowling, tennis, badminton, swimming, and chinese dance classes before... what do I have to show for it? A weak tennis serve, decent cartwheel and handstand, and inability to tread water.
5. Stray strands of long, thin blond hair creeps me out.
So, who's reading this? Let me know please...
