It is now 5:19 AM and we are in the process of editing our 20+ page paper, worth 50% of our total grade. My group has been meeting over the past three weeks, for a good few hours every day these past 7 days to work on this, sometimes in 88-degree sauna-like rooms while getting high off of dry-erase markers that we liberally used on the board.
Research, brainstorm, analyze, repeat.
Today, we met from 1PM -- still going ... to finish this thing. So far, that is 16 hours and counting. We've been sending a "working draft" back and forth, hence my crazy orange labels for "school stuffs" that you can see in my gmail with all those attachments on the side. Even though it's so late (or early?), and all the lights are turned off on this floor except in this room, I am not too depressed! I might get a bit when I realize I am totally unprepared for my Japanese final later today. no sleep + no study = no good.
But man, such a blessing that I like my group -- none of us are finance majors, and we even have a gallatinite!! Our dynamics include chill meetings, inside jokes, snacks galore, and positive, can-do attitudes. We work as a team, and I am super grateful for that...
One of the best parts of our project is that we ended the super formal business paper by quoting our professor:
And remember Okun's Rule: "Never do anything that is not fun at least 80% of the time!"
