a lesson in trust

Oh man oh man. So, originally when we first heard all about the restaurants that were coming to the job fair, I wanted to work at Oceana reaaaaallyyy badly. I didn't get it and was a bit bummed, but no biggie -- there were bigger fish to catch out there. I reached out to my career counselor lady and she helped me set up a trail at Nobu 57, after making sure that that place was where I ABSOLUTELY wanted to work. She advised me against setting up multiple trails at places for internship positions because it would be rude to turn one job down if offered to me. I consented with that,

BUT

I JUUUSTTT got a call from the Dinex Group, which manages all the amaazzzing Daniel Boulud restaurants (http://www.dinexgroup.com/) which in my opinion is one of THE most sought after restaurant groups to work for. They're looking for pastry interns at cafe boulud and DANIEL!!!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I had to be honest with her and tell her that I already had a trail at Nobu57 :( I felt soooo torn because honestly, I would love love love working at Daniel, plus Daniel looks so much nicer on the resume... In any case, she told me to keep in touch if Nobu57 didn't work out.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaah. I'm torn, but at the same time, I know that God is telling me to trust in Him throughout the process and with the end results. There was a reason I didn't get Oceana (possibly so that I could get something SO much cooler -- like Nobu57 or Daniel or Gramercy Tavern). And I know that this situation I'm in isn't terrible...but first I need to get over the initial shock of my predicament. Sometimes a win-win situation feels like a lose-lose situation. . . ha ha ha..
